Chester Emmitt

Chester G. Emmitt, Jr. 60 of Cave City died Saturday December 25, 2010 at the Caverna Memorial Hospital. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late Chester Guy and Verda Kate Thomas Emmitt. Chester was a former employee of the Barren Co. Correctional Facility and a former member of the Cave City Volunteer Fire Dept. Survivors include his wife Joyce; 1 daughter Stacey Thompson (Joey) of Cub Run; 2 step-children Cheryl Page of Nashville and Joe Donald Dickson of Columbia; 4 grandchildren Kristen, Blake, Noah and Matthew; 1 brother Jerry Emmitt of Edmonton; a sister Judy Walker of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-son David Dickson and two brothers Jackie Daryl and Gary Michael Emmitt. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Emmitt-Clack Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm Tuesday.
