Christal Ellis

Christal Nell Graven Ellis, 91 of Glasgow died Thursday October 5th at the Glenview Health Care Facility in Glasgow. She was born November 20, 1914 in Metcalfe County. Her parents were the late Granville Ellis Graven and Maudie Dee Witty Graven. Mrs. Ellis was a former employee of the Handmacher Company in Glasgow and was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Haywood since 1928. She is survivied by one daughter Doris Moore and husband Billy Joe of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Kelly Ray Nuckols (Donna), Joe Michael Moore (Kim), Tony Moore (Wendy), Donna Shipley (Mike) and Marty Nuckols (Holly); 2 brothers Ewell Graven (Louise) of Glasgow and Ewing Graven (Etta Lee) of Smiths Grove; 1 sister Juanita Moore of Glasgow; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law Velma Graven and Sammye Graven and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Woodwin Ellis; a daughter and son-in-law Maudie Ree and Mitchell Nuckols ; 5 brothers Tommy, Garland, Jewell, Ellis 'Cotton', and William Robert Graven and 3 sisters Viola May Graven, Edna Britt and Gwendolyn 'Nancy' Thomas. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday October 7, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Friday.
