Christine Harris

Christine Abney Harris 91 of Glasgow went to be with the Lord on her birthday, Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Metcalfe County Health Care Center. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late John Steveson and Rebecca Annie Lou Thaxton Abney, she was a homemaker and member of the Glasgow Wesleyan Church. Survivors include her husband of 72 years Edward Harris: 3 grandchildren Tina Gray & husband Greg of Summer Shade, James Runyon & wife Sandy of Glasgow and Jessie Runyon & wife Lori of Lafayette, TN: 9 great grandchildren Kasie Runyon, Dustyn Runyon, Jennicka Runyon, Haley Runyon, John Runyon, Cole Runyon, Reese Runyon, Harley Gray and Rebecca Gray: 1 great great grandchild Maryann Gray: several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1 daughter Mary Ann Runyon; 4 brothers William, Jack, Howard and Jessie Abney; 3 sisters Elizabeth Watson, Evie Jane Bruton and Nannie Mae Neal. Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery visitation will be after 4PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
