Christine Porter

Christine Annis Porter 84 of Glasgow, KY died Monday February 13, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Glasgow after an extended illness. She was born in Butler County, KY on February 6, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Carlston and Irene Haynes Annis. She was a former teacher in a one room school house for several years in the Logansport community before raising her family. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was a long time member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. Survivors included one daughter Sara Jane Simpson and husband Philip of Glasgow; one son Charles Robert Porter and wife Sheree of Louisville and grandchildren: Philip Simpson II of Wichita, KS; Christin Simpson of Louisville and Joshua Porter of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Porter. Visitation for Mrs. Porter will be on Wednesday February 15, 2006 from 4:00pm until 7:00 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with funeral services at 7:00pm Wednesday evening. There will be a private committal service at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
