Christine Ross

Christine Livesay Ross 87 of Glasgow, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Glenview Health Care in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Tompie and Polly Huddleston Livesay. She was married on July 22, 1954 to the late Rev. James William Ross who died on April 15, 1975. Christine was a graduate of Glasgow High School in 1943 and received her diploma from the college secretarial department at Bowling Green Business University in 1944. She attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas and received a degree in Christian Education. She was very active with T. J. Samson Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary having joined in 1979 and completing her service in 2010. Her service with the auxiliary included record keeping, American Red Cross blood drives, and working in the gift shop every Saturday and one evening each week. She was dearly beloved by the auxiliary and the American Red Cross. She was also a lifelong member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, active in Sunday School and all church activities. Funeral services will be 3:30pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1pm until time for the service. Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
