Christopher Abston

Pfc Christopher Justin Abston 26 of Smiths Grove, KY died Sunday December 4th at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina after a sudden illness. Pfc Abston was a member of Bravo Company, 82nd Airborne Division, U.S.Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky June 16, 1979. He is survived by his father Danny Abston and wife Shelli of Smiths Grove, KY; his mother Lisa Hawks Lanham and husband Troy of Biloxi, Miss.; 2 brothers Specialist Joshua Lee Abston with the U.S.Army at Ft. Benning, GA and Dyllan Abston of Smiths Grove; a sister Kelli Abston of Smiths Grove; Maternal grandfather Karleen Hawks of Louisville; Paternal grandparents Alton and Alta Abston of Railton; Aunts and Uncles: Janice Poynter, Wanda Pursley, Gregg Coates and Dana Mee all of Glasgow, Tracie Butler of Finney, Mark and Rob Hawks of Railton and Dena Legg of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Betty Jean Hawks. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday December 10th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in the Shiloh Cemetery at Railton. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm Friday at the funeral home and continue on Saturday until time for services.
