Clara Emmitt

Clara Maude Emmitt 95 of Smiths Grove died Wednesday April 4 , 2007 at the Britthaven Nursing Home in Bowling Green. Clara Emmitt was born in Barren County the daughter of the late James Alonzo Clark and Evie Lena Emmitt Clark. Mrs. Emmitt was married to the late Lawrence Emmitt was a Homemaker and attended the Fairview General Baptist Church at Rocky Hill. Survivors include 2 daughters Mary Louise James and Betty Elizabeth Brandel (Jim) Both of FL; 3 sons Earl Gene Emmitt (Eva Mae) of Glasgow, Jerry Wayne Emmitt (Ida Mae) of Scottsville and William Ray Emmitt (Betty Louise) of Scottsville; 23 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by 7 children Carol Chapman, Lawrence Emmitt, Jr., Madline Emmitt, Shirley Emmitt, Charlie Thomas Emmitt, Effie Olene Emmitt and Gary Emmitt and 2 brothers Raymond Clark and Basil Clark. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday April 7, 2007 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Emmitt-Clack Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home.
