Clarence Gibbons

Clarence Mitchell Gibbons 71 of Summer Shade died Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Born in Beaumont, KY he was the son of the late Raymond Gibbons and Macy Alene Ballard Shoopman. Mr. Gibbons was a mechanic at the Summer Shade Service station. Survivors include 1 son David Gibbons and wife Terri of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Trae and Kyle; 3 great grandchildren Kloe, Xander and Lenaya all of Glasgow; 2 brothers Douglas Shoopman and Rondell Shoopman both of Summer Shade; and a longtime special friend Betty Durrett of Glasgow. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers Garry, Robert Dale and Michael Shoopman and a sister Judy Shaw. Mr. Gibbons' wishes were to have his body donated to science. The family will celebrate the life of Clarence Gibbons with a time of remembrance on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 12:00 until 5:00 at Branstetter Park in Summer Shade. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow is assisting the family with arrangements.
