Clifton Mccandless

Thomas McCandless 86 of Glasgow died Monday October 15, 2007 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Buckner and Nellie Florence Shaw McCandless. Mr. McCandless was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where he served in General Patton's 5th Army during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Coral Hill Church of God. He is survived by a son Clif McCandless and wife Donneta of Bowling Green; 2 grandchildren Barry Thomas McCandless and Lorie Howard both of Bowling Green; a great-grandson Zachary Howard of Bowling Green; 2 brothers Rondal McCandless of New Ross, IN and Noah McCandless of Crawfordsville, IN and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Keys McCandless and a daughter Imogene McCandless. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday October 18, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
