Clifton Shipley

Clifton E. Shipley 57 of Lebanon, TN and a former Glasgow resident, died Monday, May 7, 2012 in Hartsville, TN as the result of an auto accident. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late Ralph D. Shipley and Gloria Jones Shipley of Glasgow who survives. Cliff was a 1972 graduate of Temple Hill High School, a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a project manager for the communication engineering firm of Teleplexus Inc. in Murfreesboro, TN. He was also a musician and enjoyed fishing, golf and other outdoor activities. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Debra Bratcher Shipley; a brother Phillip Shipley of Glasgow; 2 sisters Carla Deckard and husband Timmy of Glasgow and Connie Garmon and husband Eddie of Lakeland, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm Friday.
