Clifton Gayle Thomas 82 of Glasgow, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at his home. He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Reed and Myrtie Jones Thomas. Gayle was a farmer and a member of the Old Zion United Methodist Church. He was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a Mason, a member of Allen Lodge #24 F&AM. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anita Young Thomas; daughter Lisa Thomas Elmore and husband Michael Ray; son Chuck Thomas and wife Glenda; 5 grandchildren Dakota Elmore and wife Mandy, Ashton Mattingly and husband Jared, Micha Elmore, and Brandy Ford and husband Gary all of Glasgow and Tara Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; a great grandson Blaine Rigsby; his sister Frances Rigsby of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Paul and Robert Thomas. Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pm Wednesday.
