Darrell Matthews

Darrell Sanford Matthews 75 of Glasgow died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Chester and Rena Rigsby Matthews. Mr. Matthews was a retired self employed carpenter and farmer and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife Janice Hancock Matthews; 1 daughter Marla Bryant (Ricky) of Glasgow; 2 brothers David Matthews (Barbara), and Doug Matthews (Becky) all of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Matthew Ballinger, Deanie Heers, Terra Vincent and Ethan Bryant; 5 great grandchildren Aden and Ashton Ballinger, Rylan and Landon Heers and Trapper Vincent and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 daughter Sandra 'Mikki' Matthews York and 2 brothers Donald and Doyle Matthews. Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the funeral home.
