David Ernest Clay, Jr. 74 of Glasgow died Friday January 16, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born October 24, 1929 in Allen County the son of the late David Ernest Clay, Sr. and Minnie Bernice Foster Clay. He was retired from Dairymen Inc., a U. S. Army Veteran, a board member of the Glasgow First Assembly of God, a Gideon, and past president of the Travelers Protective Assn., KY Division, Post B. He is survived by his wife Lillian Mae Pitcock Clay; 3 sons Steven Clay of Glasgow, Kevin Clay and wife Gail of Louisville and Scott Clay and wife Ann of Owensboro; a daughter Laura Clay Craycroft and husband Paul of Louisville and 6 grandchildren, Mallory and Morgan Clay of Glasgow, Chris and Joe Clay of Louisville, Lillie Craycroft of Louisville and Austin Clay of Owensboro. In addition to his parents a sister, Sue Clay Hardison, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11am Monday January 19, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitationa will be after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Glasgow First Assembly of God Church, 1217 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
