David Lee Tharp 61 of Glasgow died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab Center in Franklin, KY. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late William Ralph Tharp and Evie Lee Harlow Tharp of Glasgow who survives. David was a 1969 graduate of Glasgow High School and was a former employee of Sorensen Mfg. He also worked along with his father in the Matco Tool sales and delivery. He was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church. In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother Carroll Tharp (Janie) of Glasgow; a niece Monica Davis (Corey) of Glasgow; a great-niece Ella Kenlee Davis; his aunts Yvonne Lewis (Charles), and Annette Simmons (Guy) both of Glasgow, Charlene Curtis (Jake) of Bowling Green and Sue Billingsley (Charles Wayne) and Nancy Harbod both of Hopkinsville and Carolyn Renfro of Bowling Green; an uncle Michael Harlow of Glasgow and several cousins and friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an Aunt Jean Pardue and three uncles Loren Tharp, Charles Harlow Jr. and Jerry Lynn Harlow. Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, December 3, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:30pm Sunday.
