Della Conkin

Irene Conkin 86 of Cave City died Tuesday October 3, 2006 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Born in Barren County the daughter of the late John Wesley Gooden and the late Susie Phillips Gooden and married to the late Joe Conkin. Mrs. Conkin was a homemaker and a member of Grider Memorial Chapel in Glasgow. Survivors include 1 brother Kenneth (Eurie) of Cave City; 2 sisters Jean Gooden and Fannie Gooden Lanoux both of Glasgow. Caretaker and niece Debbie (Larry) Gossett of Cave City; Several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and Great - Great Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Leo and James Gooden; 1 sister Mabel Ferguson. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday October 5, 2006 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Wednesday.
