Delmer Pierce

Kavanaugh Pierce 80 of Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his home. He was born in Clinton County the son of the late Ocia Jennings Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a truck driver for Manning Motor Co. for over 30 years. After his retirement, he was known for his wood cutting skills. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include 1 son Dwayne Pierce and wife Diana of Glasgow; 1 daughter Darlene Johnson and husband Freddie Vanderveer of Gallatin, TN; 8 grandchildren Ben Johnson of Glasgow, Luke Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN, Michael Vanderveer (Mallory) of Nashville, Barbara Vanderveer of Bowling Green; Joshua Pierce and Sarah Pierce of Glasgow, Brandon Glass (Ashley) of Kittery, ME and Jessica Scott (Tyler) of Cave City; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Patricia Corey (Herb) of Louisville, Donna Thurman and Virginna Cummings both of Burkesville; 2 brothers Darrell Thurman of Burkesville and Val Thurman of Goshen, KY. He was preceded in death by a sister Connie Melton Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, July 2nd at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
