Delton Key

Delton Osby Key 79 of Cave City, KY died Thursday, April 07, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Ack and Esther Perkins Key. Mr. Key was a retired self-employed oil well driller and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Glasgow. Dad was always there to help anyone who he could. He loved his family so much. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives as a Christian father. One of his greatest pleasures when he was younger and in good health was fishing. Delton was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Gelene Virginia (Whitley) Key and two brothers Shelby and Welby Key. He is survived by one daughter Teresa Key Rutledge (Joe) and one son Weldon Key (Rita) both of Glasgow; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Justin, Jason, Alicia, Brandon, Jennifer, Jessica, Harley and Dillon and several great-grandchildren; two sisters Betty Smith (Wood) of Edmonton and Carolyn Taylor (Bee) of Summer Shade; two brothers Ira Key (Elsie) of Edmonton and Herman Key (Becky) of Smiths Grove; his dog Scooter and several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 Friday. The family would like to say thank you to the Emergency Room and ICU at T. J. Samson for working so hard for our dad and to station 3 at NHC for your care.
