Derrick Joseph Sims, age 47 of Harned, passed away Saturday, December 31st 2016 at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. He was born August 6th 1969 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Joseph Aubrey Sims & Regina Sue Drake Carey. He is survived by three children, Jared, Dustin, & Leandra Sims, one step-daughter, Whitney Young, his mother, Regina Carey, two sisters, Phyllis Ann Warden & Marcia Lynn Sims, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sims. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial.
