Diane D. Allen, 69, of Park City, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 5, 1952. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Neil Allen who resides in their home. She was mom to Karen Wray (Troy) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jimmy Allen (Kylee) of Glasgow, Kentucky. She was "DeDe" to granddaughter, AnnLee. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her parents, Rondal Davis (Helen) of Edmonton and her mother, Marie Bridges of Smiths Grove; two sisters, Reba Dillard (Sam) of Smiths Grove and Lanie Nelson of West Lafayette, Indiana. Later in life, she acquired another "sissy," Annette Dennison (Michael) of Lebanon, Kentucky. She is also survived by one nephew, Corey Harris of Smiths Grove, Kentucky and two nieces, Lacey Nelson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Miranda Garcia (Will) of West Lafayette, Indiana; a great-nephew, William Garcia; and a great-niece, Alaina Garcia, both of West Lafayette, Indiana. Earlier in her life, she worked for the Metcalfe County School System as a teacher and went on to be MCHS guidance counselor, where she worked diligently and successfully at finding college scholarships for her students. Diane left the school system to work at home, helping her husband on the farm and to take care of his elderly parents, of which she did an excellent job. Her enjoyments were gardening, home canning, and cooking so she could fulfill her passion of taking care of others, especially her family. Before her sickness, she attended and played the piano for Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. Thurman and Zoy Scott of Edmonton and her paternal grandparents, Buford and Eula Davis of Glasgow, along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Merry Oaks Cemetery c/o Ronnie Pennycuff 128 Merry Oaks Payne Road Smiths Grove, Kentucky 42171. Visitation will be at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow, Kentucky beginning at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 15th. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Burial will be in the Merry Oaks Methodist Church Cemetery.
