Docia Wheat

Docia Ellen Wheat 85 of Glasgow, died Saturday, May 10, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleve and EffieYork Emmitt and the wife of the late Herman Lee Wheat. Mrs. Wheat was a homemaker and member of the Mt Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sons Billy Wheat (Betty Mae) of Cave City, Rondal Paul Wheat (Sandra Gayle) of Nashville, TN and Marcell Wheat (Lisa) Hiseville; 1 daughter Bernell Farley (Kay) of Glasgow; 1 adopted son John W. Bradley of Glasgow; special daughter-in-law Debbie Bunch Glasgow; 2 sisters Ethel Wooten and Effie Emmitt both of Glasgow; 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 8 children Roger Gail Wheat, Charles Lee Wheat, Herman Eugene Wheat, Eddie Rollin Wheat, Robert Lee Wheat, Olla Mae Wheat, Ruth Wheat and Barbara Ann Wheat, 1 sister Betty Hagan and 3 brothers William, Lawrence and Leonard Emmitt. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Clack-Emmitt Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the funeral home.
