Don Shipley

Don Terry Shipley 78 of Glasgow died Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at his home at Highland Ridge Assisted Living. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Rex Shipley and Sophia Atkinson Shipley Taylor. Mr. Shipley was retired from Wickham Glass Co. in Nashville, TN and was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Helen Hughes Shipley; 1 son Don H. Shipley (Sherry) of Fayetteville, Ark.; 1 daughter Glenda Carol Spillman (Charlie) of Huff, KY; 1 step-son Allen DeShields (Peggy) of Clarksville, TN; 1 step-daughter Julie Smith of Nashville, TN; 5 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister Ella Turner of Glasgow and a nephew Edward Turner of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by a son Terry Douglas Shipley and a granddaughter Jennifer Spillman. Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, May 8th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pm Wednesday.
