Dona Embry

Dona E. Embry, 76, of Horse Branch, passed away Tuesday, December 27th, 2016. She was born on Monday, December 9th, 1940 in Horton, the daughter of the late Ernest and Jeanette (Brown) Smith. Dona was a member of the Rosine Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved to do crossword puzzles and word searches. Dona is survived by her three sons, Jerry Embry (Lisa), Jeremy Embry and Doug Embry all of Horse Branch; one daughter, Lora Saltsman (Travis) of Leitchfield; two sisters, Shirley Osborne and Martha Raley both of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, one great-grandson due in March and two step-great-grandsons. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William Lee Embry; one daughter, Jeanetta Embry; one brother and three sisters.Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29th at 2:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Glendon Geary will be officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday after 11:00 am until time of service.
