Donald Eugene Hankins, 84, of Cave City, KY passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Glenview Health Care in Glasgow, KY. Born July 10, 1936 in Colfax, IN he was the son, of the late Hobert R. and Bessie Satterfield Hankins. Mr. Hankins was retired from N & W Railroad where he was a Brakeman Nickel Plate for 28 yrs. and he enjoyed woodworking, restoring old antique tractors. He was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorthy; one son, Phil Hankins (Shelly) of Colfax, IN; two step-daughters, Patty Gosser (Phillip) of Glasgow and Teresa Trivett (Ronnie) of Ft. Run; two step-sons, Duane Hale (Rita) of Whitehouse,TN and Michael Hale of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Pierce (Shaelyn) Hankins, Spencer (Kourtney) Hankins and Anna Grace Hankins all of Colfax, IN; ten step-grandchildren; one step great grandchild; his twin sister Imogene Klaber of Cave City, KY; one brother Jerry Hankins (Glenda) of Morgantown, KY along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Hankins, four brothers, Jim, Max, Dale and Bobby Hankins and three sisters, Mary Sue Palmore, Betty Jo Findley and Evelyn Hankins. Private funeral services for the family will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with family visitation held on Friday November 27th from 11AM until time for service with burial in the Plain View Cemetery in Colfax, IN.Burial will be held at a later date with Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, IN will be in charge of service.
