Donald Jordan

Donald Ray Jordan 77 of Glasgow died Monday, March 14, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Ray and Mable Powell Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a salesman for the Ragland-Potter/Malone & Hyde Wholesale Co. and was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Haywood. He is survived by his wife Margaret Houchens Jordan. Donald and Margaret were high school sweethearts, graduated in May and married in June 1957. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter-in-law Pam Jordan of Glasgow; 2 grandsons Terryl Ray and Courtney; 1 step-grandson Curry Powell; 2 great grandchildren; a sister Margaret Billingsley (Leroy) of Glasgow; 2 sisters-in-law Vonnie Houchens and Clarice Sartin (Kernneth A.); an aunt Catherine Bellamy (Tommy), a devoted niece Vickie Hindman along with additional nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Sara Jordan, a son Don Jordan and a sister Phyllis Jordan. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 18th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:30 until 8:00 and Friday morning until time for the service.
