Donald Rhea Close

Donald Rhea Close, 82, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 16, 1940 in Linwood, Kentucky to the late Raymond Close and Freda McCubbin Close. Donald was a parts manager at Dow Corning and was a member of Bethel Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Leola Close of Glasgow; two daughters, Karen Villagran of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Gloria Isenberg (Sammy) of Linwood; one son, David Close (Constance) of Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandon Sparks, Andrew, Emily, and Haley Villagran, Samuel (Katie) and Joshua (Rachel) Isenberg, Paige Nelson, Hannah, Molly, and Stacy Close; four great grandchildren, Kylie, Madilyn, and Charlie Isenberg, Olivia Nelson; and two brothers, Kenneth Close (Suzan) of Florida and Danny Close (Sandy) of Bowling Green. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Independent Baptist Church Missions. The funeral service for Mr. Close will be held 1:00 PM CST Thursday, November 10th at Bethel Independent Baptist Church with burial in the Knoxes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
