Donald Simmons

Donald Reid Simmons 80 of Temple Hill in Barren County, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home. Reid was the son of the late Schuyler Radford Simmons and Irene McGuire Simmons. His wife was the late Ruby Grace Norris Simmons. He was a Dry Wall contractor and a member of the Poplar Log Church of Christ. He is survived by two daughters, Penny Barker (James) and Cindy Gentry (Kenny) both of Glasgow; 1 grandchild Schuyler Read of Glasgow; 2 step-granddaughters Melinda Dunmire and Rindy Rains and 4 step-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lydia Simmons, Barbara Sue Simmons, Pat Bradley, Butch Norris, Pam Vance and Barry Bacon; 3 nieces Diane Pierce, Denise Birge and Michelle Norris and 5 nephews Timmy, Gary, Phillip and Kurt Simmons and Matthew Bacon. He was preceded in death by two brothers Ronnie and Rex Simmons and a niece Tammy Simmons. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Monday.
