Doris Denning

Charlotte Denning 85 of Glasgow died Saturday December 22, 2012 at Glenview Healthcare in Glasgow. Born in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Warner Milburn Mayfield and Grace Smith Mayfield. Mrs. Denning was a school teacher in the Barren County schools and was a member of Glasgow Chapter 257 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband James E. Denning; 2 daughters Peggy Higgason (Darrell) of Greensburg, KY and Libby Garner (Jim) of Mt. Vernon, OH; a grandson Roy Higgason of Greensburg, KY and a sister Elizabeth Cary (Clifton) of Glasgow. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pm Wednesday. Order of the Eastern Rites will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home and the public is welcome to attend. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to The Gideon's.
