Doris Grinstead

Doris Rutledge Grinstead 85 of Glasgow died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at her home. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Bob and Lottie Clemmons Rutledge. Mrs. Grinstead was a bookkeeper with J. F. Pace Construction Company and was a Charter member of Quilting Friends of Glasgow and a member of the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Guild. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by 4 children; Rebecca (Dr. Edward) Grant of Greensburg, KY, Robert (Brenda) Grinstead of Glasgow, Stephen (Susie) Grinstead of Wilmore, KY and Anne (Lonnie) Taylor of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren Michael McGuire, Corey McGuire, Sharon Gupton, Shannon Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Mariah Grinstead, Kaela Grinstead and Andrew Grinstead; 9 great-grandchildren Jessica McGuire, Jena McGuire, Jack Gupton, Reagan Taylor, Reece Taylor, Cole Taylor, Layke Taylor, Tripp Taylor and Carlee Perkins; 2 brothers Donald (Martha) Rutledge of Glasgow and David (Debra) Rutledge of Crossville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law James (Eula) Grinstead of Glasgow, Malcolm (Jane) Grinstead of Cynthiana, KY and Vera Guthrie of Bowling Green and special friends and neighbors Gary and Shirley Crews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sewell Grinstead, a brother Mitchell Rutledge and a grandson Darrin McGuire. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
