Doris Jean Fields, 86, of Glasgow died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home. Born in Green County she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Katherine "Kitt" Higgason Mills. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Oakus Fields and a sister, Norma Ruth McKinney. Mrs. Fields was a homemaker, a former employee of Sorensen Manufacturing and was retired from the Canteen Vending Company. She had been a member and volunteer for T. J. Samson Auxiliary for many years and was a member of River Lake Church. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Harlow and husband Stan of Glasgow; 2 grandsons, Ryan Harlow and wife Kira Cary-Harlow of Portland, TN and Evan Harlow of Boulder, CO, and 2 great-grandchildren Zane and Everly Harlow. Several Higgason cousins also survive. The family would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at Highland Ridge Assisted Living, her three personal caregivers, Sarah Crader Leyva, Jeanie Patrick and Jackie Pursley and the staff at T. J. Samson Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 24th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
