Doris Loyd Ledendecker 79 of Glasgow died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born in Mason County, KY she was the daughter of the late Richard & Bessie Moran Loyd and wife of the late Carl Henry Ledendecker. Mrs. Ledendecker was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Glasgow, a member of the Glasgow Garden Club and an Alumni of Transylvania University and the University of Louisville where she received a degree in Education. She was a teacher for 36years in the Louisville and Green County School Systems. Survivors include a step-son Carl O. Ledendecker (Aleta) of Louisville, TN; a step-daughter Deborah Ledendecker Braune (Stuart) of Floyds Knob, IN; four step-grandchildren Thea C. Ledendecker (Eric Wasserman) of Akron, OH, Meagan Ledendecker (Todd Covert) of Lenox, MA, Andrew Evans (Elizabeth) of New Albany, IN and Daniel Evans of New Albany, IN; three step great grandchildren Willow, Wren and Logan; five nieces and nephews Beverly Jane Gampher (Mike) of Mt. Vernon, KY and Kimberly Schruat (John), John Richard Post (Terry), Kevin Leonard Post (Marian Clark) and Thomas Wayne Post (Marty) all of Cincinnati, OH; a aunt Ellen Faul of Maysville, KY and several great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Post and a brother Bobby Loyd. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Glasgow with visitation from 1:00pm-4:00pm Sunday at the church. Burial will be 1:00pm EST. Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Maysville-Mason Co. Cemetery in Maysville, Kentucky. Alternate expressions of sympathy can be made to the First Christian Church 1100 N. Race St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
