Doris Welch

Doris Mae Welch 87 of Glasgow died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born August 26, 1920 in Adair County, KY she was the daughter of the late George & Dolly Tarter McLean and wife of the late Ray Welch. Mrs. Welch was a member of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include 2 sons James Welch (Linda) and David Welch (Nicole) both of Glasgow; 2 daughters Peggy Welch and Sue Cannon both of Glasgow; 2 sisters Barkley Dulin and Bobbie Ellis Burton both of Columbia, KY; 4 grandchildren Teresa Popp (Rodney), Brad Cannon (Amy), Donna Smith (Chris) and Jennifer Vaughn; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 5 brothers Herman McLean, Russell McLean, Willard McLean, James McLean and Buddy McLean and 2 sisters Thelma Whitekettle and Evelyn McKinley. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home.
