Dorothea Young

Dorothea Frances (Sparrow) Young, 91 of Austin, Ky, formerly of Bagdad, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, October 24, 2015. She worked many years ago at Cedarmore Bapt. Camp, WCND Radio in the 1970's and retired from Barren River State Park. She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Young; sister, Barbara Kriesel; one great grandchild, and one great great grandchild. She is survived by daughter, Jo Brewer (Harvey), of Austin; son, Louis Young (Cleo) of Iowa; son, Alan Young of Pasadena, CA; grandchildren, Dianna Combs (Darren) of Austin; Gail Brewer of Austin, Marion Collins, Mickey Young of Montana and Christina Carnevale of CA., great grandchildren, Angela, Tori, Destini, Shiann, Morgann, Brittany and Thomas and 2 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Martha Hall (Pres), Shelbyville; and 2 brothers, Stephen (Pam) and Wayne Sparrow, both of Eminence. Visitation will be 3-8 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the AF Crow Funeral Home in Glasgow. Visitation will be 3-8 P.M. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Graveside service and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Eminence Cemetery.
