Dorothy Dickerson

Dorothy Dickerson, Age 79, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mattie Lee Houchens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dickerson in 1997 and a brother Willie D. Houchens in 1989. Mrs. Dickerson was a homemaker and was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, her twin Doris Etherton, Annie Lavada Edwards, and Lear Helen Davidson all of Glasgow, a brother Tony Houchens and his wife Pauline of Louisville, Kentucky and a sister in law Mattie Vernon Houchens of Glasgow, a special cousin, Barbara Staples of Glasgow and many nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday Sept. 24, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Saturday.
