Dorothy Ritter

Dorothy Edmunds Ritter 85 of Glasgow died Wednesday February 20, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County Oct. 31, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James Buford and Kate Willis Edmunds. She was a member of the Beckton Church of Christ. She graduated from Park City High School and was a member of DAV Chapter 20 Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter Susan Elaine Spears and husband Keith; two sons Johnny Ritter and wife Debbie and Sid Ritter all of Glasgow; one sister Katherine Allen of Scottsville; 2 grandchildren Brad Ritter (Mary Beth) and Melissa Spears; one step granddaughter Jennifer Downs; one great granddaughter Cheyenne Ritter and 2 step great granddaughters Ashley and Miah Downs. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Faunys Ritter; 3 brothers Lewis, Curd and Wilton 'Bill' Edmunds and 3 sisters Laurie Eubank, Musie Furlong and Martha Ann Simpson. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday Feb. 22. 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Thursday.
