Dorothy 'Dottie' Smith 76 of Cave City died Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of Kay Folgarelli. Mrs. Smith was a retired sales associate and was employed by Roger Jewelers in Bowling Green and was a member of Cave City Christian Church. Survivors include her husband William H. Smith, Jr. of Cave City; mother Kay Folgarelli of Glasgow; 1 daughter Mary Oakes (husband Ronnie) of Cave City; 3 sons William H. Smith III (wife DeAnne) of Louisville, Michael D. Smith (wife Ellen) of Cave City and Harold W. Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 grandchildren Robbie Williams of Bowling Green, Matthew D. Smith of Louisville and Patricia Newton (husband Joe) of Portland, TN; 1 great grandchild Clay Williams of Bowling Green; 1 sister Derinda Starr Collins (husband Randy) of Port Orange, FL; 1 brother Phillip Norwood (wife Linda) of Lancaster, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son Steven Ray Peden; 1 sister Betty Ballard and her step father Jake Norwood. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday March 8th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00am until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
