D. Stephen Cain 63 of Glasgow died Tuesday March 21, 2006 at his home after an illness. He was born in Plymouth, Indiana the son of the late Devon Cain and Jane Faulkner Cain of Bourbon, IN who survives. Mr. Cain was a 44 year employee of R.R. Donnelley and retired in August of 2005. He joined R.R. Donnelley in 1961 in the Warsaw, Indiana plant and moved to Glasgow in 1970 when the Glasgow plant opened. He was also involved with the building and start-up of the Danville, KY plant. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as sound system technician. Mr. Cain was chairman of the Board of Directors for East Barren Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on his farm. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Sandy Hoffer Cain; his son Doug Cain of Glasgow and a granddaughter Whitney Cain of Glasgow. A daughter, Christi Cain and a sister Karen Sue Hoffer, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Thursday March 23, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery in Atwood, Indiana. Visitation will be at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Thursday until 11:00am. Visitation will continue Thursday at the First United Methodist Church from 12:00 noon until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society; the First United Methodist Church 500 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141 or your favorite organization.
