Dwight Davis

Dwight Davis, age 65 of Leitchfield passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1948 in Edmonson County, the son of Wilbur & Vena Bratcher Davis. He was the owner of Davis Body Shop and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Mattingly Davis of Leitchfield, three children, Ryan Davis (Stacy) of Albertville, AL, Jill Davis-Minton (Eric) of Vine Grove, KY, & Danielle Davis of Leitchfield, daughter-in-law, Dee Dee Davis of Leitchfield, nine grandchildren, Ty, Chelsey, Jack, Bryce, & Grace Anne Davis, Katie, Justin, & Daisy Sims, and Isabelle Minton, one brother, Winston Davis of Leitchfield, and four sisters, Rethel Taylor of Cub Run, Rita Ellis of Bowling Green, Jenell VanMeter, & Joyce Meredith both of Bee Spring. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Davis and his sister, Norma Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday (Jan. 3, 2014) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield with Father Randy Howard officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m., Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
