Earl Eugene Freeman 71 of Glasgow, died Monday August 6, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County, KY the son of the late Leon Earl Freeman and Madeline Minor Freeman. He was of the Baptist Faith. He graduated from Center High School in 1954 and from the Bowling Green College of Commerce in 1961. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and spent part of his service in Japan. After his military service Mr. Freeman was a former federal bank examiner, a former employee of First Federal Savings and Loan in Glasgow, City Clerk of Glasgow for 15 years, a farmer and most recently, a carpet salesman for Carpet Bargin Barn. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Bass Freeman; two children Julia Siemens (Doug) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Garvin Freeman (Marlene) of Glasgow; four grandsons, Joshua Siemens, Trenton Siemens and Lee Siemens of Siloam Springs and Philip Freeman of Glasgow; two sisters Inez McCandless (Bobby) of Glasgow and Gail Willett (Bob) of Lexington, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday August 9, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow, will be in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
