Earl H. Froedge 86 of Glasgow, KY died Monday April 19, 2004 at his home. He was born in Barren County, KY the son of the late Evert R. and Maymie Hurt Froedge. Mr. Froedge owned and operated Froedges General Store in Summer Shade for 42 years and was also a farmer. He was past president of the Bank of Summer Shade for 32 years and was later a director of The Edmonton State Bank for 18 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife Mildred Richardson Froedge; 1 daughter Linda Glass and husband Cecil of Glasgow; 1 grandson Alex Earl Vibbert of Bowling Green; 2 brothers Ferrell Froedge and wife Sue of Bowling Green, KY and Dr. Jerry K. Froedge and wife Sandi of Hickory, NC and 4 sisters, Leola Crossman and husband Philip of Punta Gorda, FL, Emogene Riherd and Anita Scott both of Glasgow and Joye Nunn and husband Ronnie of Brentwood, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In additon to his parents three brothers Dr. Murrel Froedge, Elwood Froedge and Maxwell Froedge preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday April 21, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
