Earl Wood

Earl E. Wood 93 of Cave City died Thursday October 29, 2009 at his residence. Born August 31, 1916 in Barren County the son of the late Tom Wood and the late Fannie (Martin) Wood. Mr. wood was a farmer and retired employee of the Glasgow Daily Times. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Mr. wood was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist church. Survivors include his wife Virginia Y. (White) Wood of Cave City; 1 daughter Earline Mitchell (Robert)of IN; 4 step sons Peter R. Dodson III of Cave City, Gregory R. Dodson of NC, Wilburn D. Fitzpartrick Jr. (Leslie) of VA. and Larry D. Dodson (Shontelle) of IL.; sister Lula Crewshaw of Glasgow; brother -in- law Horace L. White of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and several neices and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday November 3, 2009 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Union Cemetery with military honors provided by the D.A.V. Chapter # 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
