Edna Walbert 95 of Glasgow died Friday, February 28, 2014 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. Born in Metcalfe County she was the daughter of the late Zibblen and Louevia Word Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lemmie Walbert, a daughter Barbara Bragg, two sons Carl and Roger Walbert, a sister Mae Smith and 3 brothers Carlos and Clay Smith and her twin brother Edgar Smith. For 35 years she was a seamstress at the Mammoth Cave Garment Co., was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 3 daughters Dorothy Burris of Knob Lick, Rebecca Lashley (Bobby Cowles) of Austin and Patty Bertram (Gary) of Apopka, FL; 3 sons Ronald Walbert (Sue) of Louisville, Russell Walbert (Patty) of Bismarck, ND and Ricky Walbert of Glasgow; a brother Ray Smith (Nell) of Glasgow; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1pm Sunday, March 2nd at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will begin at 11am Saturday.
