Edward Lee Morrison, age 83 of Clarkson, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1930 in Grayson County the son of Joseph M. and Elizabeth Ann Mudd Morrison. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and then was a U.S. Civil Service employee as an electrician, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Alberta Rhea Morrison, two daughters, Marcia Ann Hawkins of Leitchfield, and Pamela Young of Apex, NC, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, James L. and Jerry Morrison, five sisters, Gertrude Maddock, Arlene Gibson, Rita Abell, Anthonette Smith and Eldora Morrison, and four brothers, Huey, Pat, Randy and T. Wilford Morrison. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, (January 25, 2014) at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarkson with Father Steve Holman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Clarkson. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m., Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
