Effie Mae Chase 92 of Glasgow died Thursday morning August 23, 2007 at her home. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Hershell and Elizabeth Sheffield Gibbons and was the wife of the late Will Chase. Mrs. Chase was a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 sons Everett Chase (Jeanette) of Glasgow and Bill Chase (Rene) of Glasgow; 1 daughter Brenda Ault (Allen) of Richmond, KY; 4 grandchildren Cathy Robinson (Steve) of Richmond, KY and Alex, Clay and Helena Chase all of Glasgow; 4 great-grandchildren Chase and Alexis Robinson and Aaron and Luke Chase; 1 sister Ruby Smith of Glasgow; 4 brothers Earl Gibbons of Glasgow, Waldo Gibbons of Cave City, Walter Gibbons of Cave City and Douglas Gibbons of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Bessie Lee Gibbons of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Alice Bowles and Alma Chase and two brothers Arthur and Louis Gibbons. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday August 25, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Friday.
