Elbert Martin

Elbert Porter Martin, Sr. 81 of Glasgow died Tuesday March 6, 2007 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Tally Barry and Lalla Lewis Martin and his wife was the late Lou Reid Elmore Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired from the Kentucky Dept. of Highways and a farmer and was a member of the Park City Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons Porter Martin Jr. of Smiths Grove and Kenny Martin of Horse Cave; 2 daughters Belinda Davis of Atlanta,Georgia and Delores Ray of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; his mother-in-law Maye Elmore of Glasgow; 1 brother Clifton Martin of Louisville; 2 sisters Meota Snellen of Louisville and Oleta Doyle of Glasgow; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. A sister Cleota Von Sick preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday March 9th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Thursday.
