Elizabeth Cary
June 2, 1921 — May 11, 2024
Elizabeth Cary, age 102, passed away, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. The daughter of the late Warner Milburn Mayfield and the late Grace A. (Smith) Mayfield, she was born in Glasgow on June 2, 1921. She retired from Citizens Bank after 33 years and was a member of Browders Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two nieces, Libby Garner (Jim) and Peggy Higgason (Darrell); one great nephew, Roy Higgason.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Cary; one son, Roy Clifton Cary Jr; one sister, Charlotte Denning; brother-in-law, James Denning.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 16th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, and Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the form of Gideon Bibles.
