Ella White Combs Morgan, 93, of Glasgow, KY passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born January 27, 1927 in Mt. Hermon, KY to the late Richard "Dick" B. Combs and Patsye Kinslow Combs. Ella married her loving husband, Jesse Lawrence Morgan April 6, 1957. He preceded her in death August 25, 1984. Mrs. Morgan loved reading, volunteering, traveling, spending time with her family, and organic gardening. She began her teaching career in a one room school for her first two years and went on to teach with the Barren County and Glasgow Boards of Education for 42 years. She was a member of many clubs which include the Local Retired Teachers, Kentucky Education Association, National Education Association, Etoile Order of the Eastern Star, T. J. Samson Hospital Auxillary, Amar Homemakers, and American Red Cross. Ella was a faithful member of Neal's Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include four nieces and nephews, Maxey Douglas Combs (Melissa) of Smyrna, TN, Charles Van Combs (Gail Pennington) of Hiseville, KY, Theresa Lynn Combs McMillian (Terry) of Knoxville, TN, Pattie Jo Combs Jones (Corey) of Cave City; one special nephew, Terry Wayne Morgan (Lisa) of Glasgow, KY; four great nephews, Brandon Combs (Whitney) of Glasgow, KY, Jared Combs (Kathy) of Glasgow, KY, Trent McMillian of Knoxville, TN, Jacob Jones of Cave City, KY; four great-great nieces and nephews, Auna Combs, Cameron Combs, Warner Combs, Ella Katherine "Kate" Combs, all of Glasgow, KY; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ann of Glasgow, KY, Joyce Martin of Glasgow, KY; one brother-in-law, Lyndal Morgan and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her caregivers Libby Bowles, Helen Browning, Diana Jones, Pam Steele, Destin Gaston, and Nancy Isenberg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack Lewis Combs, Maxey B. Combs, Joe Thomas Combs, Charles H. Combs; one nephew, Christopher Scott Combs; and three sisters-in-law, Vada Combs, Addie Morgan, and Polly Morgan. In lieu of flowers, Ella has requested that donations be made to the Mary Wood Memorial Library 1530 South Green Street Glasgow, KY 42141 or to one of your favorite charities. The funeral service for Mrs. Morgan will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 24th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday morning until time for service at the funeral home. A. F.
