Ellar Bragg

Ellar Kate Bragg, 88, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1934 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late James Moore and Gladys Sneed Moore. Ellar was a self employed child caretaker and was a member of Hillside Missionary Baptist Church for nine years. In her free time, she loved sewing, quilting, tending to her roses, cooking, canning, and spending time in her garden. Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Howell (Mike) of Glasgow and Carolyn Crabtree (Robert) of Horse Cave; five grandchildren, Nick, Miranda, Amanda Howell, all of Glasgow, Cheryl Hickey (Jeremy) and Ashley Shoemaker (Jeremy), both of Horse Cave; four great grandchildren, Heather Adwell, Tanner Shoemaker, Austin Hickey, all of Horse Cave, Isabelle Hickey of Knoxville, Tennessee; two brothers, Jimmy Moore (Vonda), Davis Moore (Wanda), both of Glasgow; and two sisters, Ruby Dickson of Glasgow and Geraline England of Edmonton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Clarence Bragg; an infant son; a step great grandson, Gage Shoemaker; and two brothers-in-law, Ernest Dickson and Danny England. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The funeral service for Mrs. Bragg will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 24th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bragg Family Cemetery in Adair County. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
