Ellis Smith

Ellis Young Smith 90 of Glasgow died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late John & Ida Mae Mesker Smith and husband of the late Janie Marie Carver Smith. Survivors include a son Albert Smith (Janett) of Glasgow; 6 daughters Eudeller Rogers, Patricia Garmon, Edna Jones (Terry) and Brenda Davidson all of Glasgow; Joann Jones (George) of Austin and Dorothy Greenwell (Kevin) of Shepardsville, KY; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his first wife Maude Jones Smith, 2 grandchildren Charles Stephen Smith and Dennis Swafford, 4 brothers Arthur, Frank, William and Moss Smith and 3 sisters Pernie McCawley, Lillie Estes and Dellar McCuskey. Funeral services will 2:00pm Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
