Elmer Mitchell Mathews

Elmer Mitchell Mathews, age 85, of Bowling Green, died Friday, December 9, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Glasgow on October 1, 1937, to the late Roy Mathews and the late Euna (Rigsby) Mathews. He was a self-employed carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Votaw (Mike) of Glasgow, Leann Logan (Adam) of Summer Shade, and Sherry Jo Cadarette (Rick) of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Lorrie Norris (Jeff) of Bowling Green; one stepson, Lee Moore of Campbellsburg; a special friend, Linda McIntyre; one sister, Mable Moran (Billy) of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three nieces, and seven nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Shaw; one son, Steven Mathews; one brother, Leroy Mathews; one sister, Marie Taylor. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 13th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Springs Church Cemetery.
