Elmer Louis Richie 58 of Glasgow, KY died Wednesday April 20, 2005 at his home. Elmer was born in Fort Branch, Indiana the son of Clara Welt Richie of Fort Branch, Indiana and the late Kenneth Richie, Sr. Mr. Richie was the owner and operator of Richie Pharmacal Company in Glasgow. He was a member of Austin Lodge #847 F& AM, an avid outdoorsman and was very active in Ducks Unlimited, a supporter of the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, a former member of the Barren Bassmasters and the Barren River Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years Paulette Klenck Richie; two daughters Dawn Michelle Boyter and husband Jim Boyter Jr. of Glasgow, KY and Debra Richie Fox and husband Kerry of St. Petersburg, FL; 5 grandchildren James Russell Boyter, Jessica Regan Boyter, Harrison Tyler Fox, Cameron Bailey Fox and Kennedy Collin Fox; 4 brothers Kenneth Richie, Jr. of Fort Branch, IN, Dale Richie of Glasgow, Alan Richie of Evansville, IN and Robert Richie of Glasgow; 2 sisters Kay Austill of Lynnville, IN and Linda Hodges of Mount Airy, NC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, a brother Larry Richie, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday April 23, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Friday at the funeral home and on Saturday until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Hospice Program at T. J. Samson Hospital or an organization or charity of your choice.
